It’s the time of the year again where the air is filled with the sweet and savoury aroma of durian, and if you’re looking for a durian festival to fix your cravings, why not go to the biggest one in Malaysia?
Genting has recently (May 2019) announced on Facebook that it will be hosting a durian festival – and currently, it’s the only hilltop durian festival available to members of the public. Enjoying this luscious fruit at 6,000 feet above sea level will be quite an experience!
Here are some of the durian varieties you can expect to see there.
- Musang King (Grade A)
- Black Thorn (Grade A, B, C)
Besides the king of fruits in its purest form, you can also enjoy durian-themed desserts such as Musang King cendol, durian ice cream and coffee. Other tropical fruits like rambutan and mangosteen are available as well!
Here’s more information about the event.
Date: 25 May to 16 September
Operating hours: Open from 12pm to 10pm daily
Venue: 16th Floor, Genting Grand Outdoor Carpark (GG Boulevard)
